In 2004 Britain reached peak alcohol consumption. Social media was kicking off and we were starting to realise the days of drinking and dancing like no one’s watching were over. The desire to go out and have fun hadn’t left us, but the desire not to feel awful the next day definitely had. The issue? Everything on offer meant compromising on something important. Having founded Funkin Cocktails in 1999, Stryyk, the founder, had a bit of experience in the drink trade, so he was set about fixing the problem. And we from Urban Food fest London are happy about the opportunity that we have now. After years of development and many, many taste tests, STRYYK had launched the first two drinks: Not Gin and Not Rum in 2018, closely followed by Not Vodka in January 2019. It is a young drink and we are proud to have discovered Stryyk and be able to offer them to our visitors of the street food markets across London. It is not just the taste which convinced us. It is the style as well. Especially, when sitting with this drink and your street food in one of the areas which are decorated with vintage furniture.
