2015 summer foodie festivals to get on your radar
Urban Food Fest
Fancy a fest you don’t need to take a whole weekend out to attend? Then meet the Urban Food Fest. Two editions (one in London’s Shoreditch, one in Manchester’s Deansgate) see a weekly rotating roster of street food trucks (including Taiwanese steamed buns, gourmet mac ‘n cheese, pulled pork baps and a crepe stand dealing in Nutella-smothered delights) vie for your custom. Entrance to both is free.
The bar has everything from gin and elderflower cocktails to bottles of Prosecco, and live music plays through the night. The nights are often themed (next week is ABBA) for an extra dose of fun. All of the atmosphere, and you get to sleep in your own bed. Bliss.
