Levi Roots’ Urban Food Fest “Carnival” themed street food & bar night market extravaganza is on Saturday 22nd August 2015 exclusively featuring Levi Roots (famous for his Reggae Reggae Sauce) performing live music and serving Jamaican street food!
Our carnival ‘Rastaraunt’ will feature 15 street food trucks & stalls serving: “Reggae” slow cooked, smoked jerk chicken, “Calypso” Jamaican goat curry, “Carnival Queen” Venezuelan arepas with sticky pulled pork & crispy fried plantains, “Dreadlocks” Mexican beef brisket tacos & red hot tomato salsa, “Limbo” Cajun spiced frog’s legs, “Creole Soul” charcoal-grilled flatbreads with chilli lamb skewers & in the V corner vegan “Rasta Pasta” with marinated tofu crumble & wild mushrooms.
Carnival desserts include “Island Feast” grilled pineapple custard tarts & “Tropical Paradise” coconut & banana-cream crêpes.
The Urban Food Fest premium bar will be serving craft beers, cider, international wines & prosecco, alongside bespoke carnival cocktails including the “Levi’s Roots Love” Caribbean rum, coconut water & lime cocktail & the “Shoreditch Carnival” Firestarter vodka, raspberry & summer strawberries topped with vodka foam cocktail.
Plus live music by Levi Roots, seating areas & servers dressed in Caribbean costumes. There will be a free craft beer or cocktail for everyone in carnival fancy dress!
Urban Food Fest is free entry, every Saturday, from midday to midnight @ Euro Car Parks 162-167 Shoreditch High Street, Shoreditch, London, E1 6HU. Urban Food Fest is every Saturday night until 19 December 2015.
The Urban Food Fest founder loves the thrilling atmosphere of the infamous Munich Oktoberfest – so much so that she has decided to bring the fun to Shoreditch for 3 Saturdays: 19 September, 26 September & 3 October 2015.
15 street food trucks & stalls will serve traditional German street food including the “Deutschland” giant hotdog topped with sauerkraut, “Lederhosen” triple stacked beef & pickle burger, “Munich” pork belly on soft brioche roll alongside world cuisines with a special German twist including the “Goethe” Venezuelan arepa filled with German steak topped with sweet mustard, “Kafer” Bavarian cheese Mexican tacos, “Hallo” Vietnamese crispy schnitzel chicken strips with German crispy potatoes; and in our vegan “V Corner” German-Italian vegan polenta with chilli. German desserts include “Black Forest” cherry waffles & apfelstrudel crepes.
Our themed Oktoberfest bar will be serving a selection of ice cold Munich beers as well as niche craft beers, ciders, German wines and prosecco. Plus our cocktail bar will include the “Wie Gehts” ginger beer & dark rum cocktail and the “dirndl” German red berries & vodka cocktail – plus shots of Jagermeister to get the party started!
Live music, including the Oktoberfest special “Hey Baby!” will entertain the crowds plus plenty of seating areas to relax in and servers in traditional dress. Everyone in themed Oktoberfest outfits with get a free beer or cocktail! Get ready to eat, drink and soak up the fun! Prost!
Urban Food Fest is back for 2016! Our launch party is on Saturday 5th March with a “Hippy Hipsters” themed street food night market, featuring 15 street food trucks and stalls serving Hippy dishes including “Sgt. Peppered” extra spicy chilli chicken wings, “Psychedelic” shredded pork cornflour buns, “Peace Out” halloumi BBQ brioche, “Make ‘Peas’ Not War” Jamaican jerk fried rice & pepper pot stew, “Rolling Stones” Italian Parma ham bruschetta, “Jimi ‘Hen’drix” southern deep fried chicken & slaw burgers, “Rainbow Tie Dye” maple syrup & banana French crepes and “Glastonberry” salted caramel & dairy milk topped waffles.
The Urban Food Fest bar will serve Shoreditch craft beers, specialist ciders, wines and prosecco, alongside bespoke hippy cocktails including “Hipster’s Life” ginger beer & white rum and “Flower Power” raspberry, pear & vodka, plus blueberry foam tequila shots to get the party started!
There will be live music to entertain the crowds and plenty of seating areas to relax. Everyone in Hippy fancy dress will win a free shot from the Urban Food Fest bar. The best costume will win a groovy bottle of champagne! Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair!
